My Home – Mana Tadra (Magic Dream)

Mana Tadra

I first bought Mana Tadra (Magic Dream) as a holiday house, but by 2014 I had made it my home to escape the rat race, keep me tuned up for my work adventures, a place to de-stress and reduce my blood pressure, and better pursue my near lifelong love of snorkeling, diving, boating, underwater photography and golf.

My previous life in Australia was as a migrant from England, so I already understood that a change in home country can be good, and my work adventures and other travels opened my eyes to further opportunities outside Australia.

Simply Snorkeling

You don’t need to be a fully fledged diver to enjoy Taveuni’s fantastic corals and the underwater wildlife, and you don’t have to go to far offshore either. Simply grab some basic snorkeling gear and away you go ! With minimum effort you’ll enter a peaceful aquatic wonderland full of colour.

Visiting Taveuni’s Pearl Farm

My friends Claude and Danielle created a pearl farm (from scratch !) on the north-eastern side of the island. They run regular tours of the farm, and it’s a great place for us to get together once in a while for a social, snorkel and sail.

Sailing The Straits and Open Ocean

Taking the boat out with a bunch of good mates is a great way to spend the day, or a whole weekend. Along the way there’s plenty of fantastic scenery, snorkel spots, and maybe a secret beach or small island to get Castaway.
