Anyone for Tennis ?

Tennis

Roger Federer is rumoured to have driven past this tennis court on a number of occasions, and our budding tennis prodigies hang out there in the hope of being talent spotted for a sports scholarship. Some have been hanging out for a few decades by the look of it. Despite the challenges of a non-championship quality court and no ball boys and girls to fetch wayward overhead smashes from the bush it’s another activity to keep us all fit, young and beautiful, and wager a few beers for the post-match debrief in the bar.

Wining and Dining and Kava

Wining and dining with friends, neighbours and locals, a bit of a sing song or just chilling with the band, and maybe a splash of kava for a good nights rest. Formal dining, beach barbecue, bar snack or picnic – as long as there’s food, a few beers, wine (for the ladies) and good company then a great time is guaranteed.

Visiting Taveuni’s Pearl Farm

My friends Claude and Danielle created a pearl farm (from scratch !) on the north-eastern side of the island. They run regular tours of the farm, and it’s a great place for us to get together once in a while for a social, snorkel and sail.

Scuba Diving The Rainbow Reef

Amazing sights under the waters of the Somosomo Strait all along the Rainbow Reef. The opportunity to dive such a wondrous place on a regular basis was one of the prime factors in my decision to buy a piece of paradise on Taveuni Island.
